Condoms for Safe Bingo?

The Student Government Association held a bingo event this evening in order to promote condom and safe sex use to the campus. As an initiative for students to come, SGA offered free items for students to win including condoms, dildos, and other sexual items. Students could win the items through answering trivia questions regarding STI's and various questions about safe sex practices. About 40 students entered into the event and were actively participating. Students loved the experience of being around new people, winning free items, and the irony of condom bingo. Many of the questions were national statistics regarding sex and the many diseases that come with it. While the questions contained information regarding safe sex practices, it seemed that there was no real help that could be offered after each question was answered. Only the offering of certain items as a reward was used to educate people. I wondered if there was a better way to educate people than guessing on trivia questions. I later took photos of some people who tended to win the most out of the group and interviewed one of the coordinators of the event. He told me some information regarding why the event was held and who exactly was managing the event.

Devin Rivera almost at his second bingo of the night. He also has one condom meaning he has answered a trivia question correctly.

Clemente Runas discusses with his group the game plan for the next trivia question. His table has won the most items out of everybody in the room.

Here is my interview with Grant Warmbein, talking about the event itself. And another video to showcase the event in action.
