The Global Water Crisis: A Lost Cause?

We all know HumidiLife mentions the fight against the global water crisis, but what exactly is it? Only one out of ten people lack access to safe drinking water. The most troubled during these times are women and children in third world countries. As there are many activists who continue to help, the global water crisis still thrives to this day. Water is essential for humans and a necessity to living a sustainable life. Having a lack of access to something so fundamental is simply unjust. The development of the world itself does not help the fight against the global water crisis as well. Climate change and the demand for agriculture complicates the accessibility to water itself. Agriculture alone uses about 72% of all water withdrawals, leaving only a limited amount for people. Water scarcity tends to be a big issue in these areas. In America alone, California struggles with being in a drought. In the next 100 years, the area will need three times as much groundwater than can be supplied! This means we need to act fast and HumidiLife will be at the front lines of the conflict.

As depressing as it may seem, water is still around for us. Earth has so many different cycles of nature to ensure water sticks around. But what can we do as people to help conserve and contribute to the fight? Some super simple ways to help can be what you do in the bathroom! Taking shorter showers, turning off the water while you brush your teeth or shave, using your dishwasher for full loads only or even investing in an 18-cup water filter to conserve running the faucet. Simple solutions such as these can help in a big way. The next post will go more in-depth about more simple actions that can help contribute to the fight!

So, what does HumidiLife have to do with anything? Well, our mission is to fight back against the global water crisis using technology you have seen before. A simple dehumidifier combined with solar panels and a water filter is our weapon of choice. Placing these across the globe will provide a new cycle of clean water to people that need it. The global water crisis is a serious issue and HumidiLife promises to produce results soon! To learn more about the global water crisis, be sure to check out our website!
