The intramural basketball season has once again picked up at SRU. Intramurals have always been around however recent teams have started to gain attention at a national level. With the start of the season and some star referees and players, SRU might just become the next best intramural school. Below, there are some action shots from the first couple of games played, but we highlight some individuals. A.J Perella and B.J Johnson are both superstars on the court and around it. Using experience from the game of basketball, these individuals help out refereeing the other games and use it as a tactic to scope out competition. Last semester, most notably, they brought their team to the flag football field and made waves in the intramural community. Becoming recognized from a national level at the tournament in Maryland, the team hopes for the same result this upcoming basketball season.
