We Are Affected No Matter What

I will be discussing how the conflict between Russia and Ukraine affects college students in America. Not only do the repercussions of conflict affect countries as a whole, but the newer generations are always going to be impacted in ways not everyone thinks about. TIME Magazine explains how the conflict may impact foreign exchange programs for the future, and plenty of other articles go into the conflict itself.

Even in America, we see trends on social media going from World War 3 memes, another draft possibly coming up, very casual conversations about the conflict. No matter what is said of the event itself, students and others will affected worldwide. The point of this blog will not to sway any opinion of the conflict, but to at least inform younger audiences in a way they will understand. There are even memes to stop drinking Russian vodka.

The newsworthiness of this timeline will show a mirror of news. How American students may be affected, but also our Russian counterpart. Protests all over Russia indicate resistance against conflict, and how the newer generations must respond to try and help out the world. Colleges across the globe are also trying to do their part in order to help out Ukraine, such as M.I.T. It may be across the globe, however it has novelty, an impact on us, and is timely because the invasions continue.

The events that I will be covering will consist of the brief history of the conflict, how Americans are responding via social media platforms, live videos of the invasion, and some events started here in order to help out Ukraine.
